I am now a spender!! I can't help but buy things. Although thankfully I have actually learnt a great deal through the Flipping Thrift challenge.

I have new clothes - Happy Birthday Me!!

Some new recycled wrap to add to the busy box :)
Obviously I was gifted with very practical gifts of clothing for my birthday. I am wrapped to get some new items and all of them boasting a maternity label - VERY helpful at a time like this. So here is a list of my new things!! (Loving new things right now)
A darling bracelet from Husband
Gym leggings
Gym tank
Jeggings  -which I am totally in love with, (see very happy me in the pictures below)
Linen trousers
A multi floral scarf
A quirky tale about clothing (oh boy)
A Lanvin anniversary note book for all my scribbles and notes
A pair of earrings
A long very bright pink tank with lots of bump room and
A lovely top that will actually have to wait until summer

My new jeggings - LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM

Something for baby too

I love cards - to me they are as exciting as a present

Would love to say that this card represents me - maybe if she had shorter legs and a big bump out the front.

Did I really wear a tassel key ring in my hair?!

The answer my friends is Y.E.S

As much as I would love to duck to the high street to grab a few new accessories – I can’t.  A promise is a promise and these days a descent accessory will set me back a good 30 pounds. So here I am with a new addition to my accessory collection – well actually it’s not new, I just shuffled it from the key hook to my hair accessory box.

The inspiration came from a pair of tassel earrings a pretty young lady was wearing at a friend’s wedding recently.  They looked so good,  it made me a tad jealous.

One month down the track, I have reinvented my own take on this lovely Middle Eastern delight. So today feeling like I wanted to be a little matchy matchy. I donned my Marc Jacobs ballet flats with their lovely orange trim and matched it with my thin orange belt but then I was missing an orange accessory to wear above the shoulders. A quick and thrifty thinker I am -introducing the key ring turned hair tassel!!

These shoes are a wardrobe staple.  Not always does the bright trim go with everything but somehow I make it work.  I purchased them two years ago in need of a pair of flats (on sale of course) .  I have never needed another pair and these are definitely worth the extra spent.  If in Melbourne always check out the Louisa Boutique sales.

Here’s a twist – I'm PREGNENT

I’m so excited.

Since the announcement I have been bombarded with the recurring question. “OMG what about your no buying policy????” And my answer goes something like this...“Y.E.S, I will definitely continue with this, call me what you will though how interesting will it become!” Says me, who can only just squeeze into her regular clothes.

My sisters (both mothers) are a great source of information and hand-me-down CLOTHING, phewwwwww. One of my sisters is of the opinion that I am totally crazy for carrying on with this. She says, “I swear, you will hate the feeling of something tight across your belly, Naomi you definitely need a pair of maternity leggings”. She finished with “I have you for Kris Kindle”. Surprise, surprise, on Christmas day I excitedly unwrapped a pair of maternity leggings accompanied with the biggest maternity bra ever. (whoah mamma). A very functional gift and much appreciated at this time.

My other sister loaded me up with her maternity clothes that funnily enough I gifted to her about 18 months ago when she was pregnant . Her Target maternity jeans that I snapped up for a whopping one dollar at a work sample sale are now servicing their second mum-to-be – ME!

I'm back, stop looking :)

I have been a little absent, to say the least from this blog. I took myself to China for a research trip (what research you ask – I will fill you in shortly) and unfortunately the internet restrictions blocked me from accessing my own blog.

Never the less I was still able to snap the savvy Shanghainese on the streets.

After China it was a visit to homeland Oz and now, I’m back. I hope you will continue to follow this journey with me – only four and a half months to go! I promise to keep you entertained...watch this space for a little bit of a twist.

Interesting take on visual display

Why does this always happen google blog?  You just turn my pictures as you want, grrrr.  So not user friendly sometimes.

If I could have, I would have bought one of these furry shrugs.  Sooo cheap and so much fun to brighten up an outfit on those overcast wintry days.

Me in the stripe number AGAIN!
